South Texas and Mexico

Given its partners’ varied experiences and the firm’s central location in South Texas and proximity to Mexico, Castillo Snyder has developed a specialty “border” practice niche.

The firm is truly bicultural and every employee of the firm is bilingual in English and Spanish. From its base in San Antonio, Castillo Snyder represents clients in such South Texas cities as Laredo, McAllen, Harlingen, Brownsville, Zapata, Del Rio and Corpus Christi. Castillo Snyder maintains a network of legal and business contacts throughout South Texas, and the firm’s lawyers are intimately familiar with the dynamics of these border communities.

Client Relationships

Castillo Snyder is very flexible in structuring relationships with its clients. The firm offers representation to clients on an hourly basis; on a fixed fee basis; a contingency or results-oriented basis, including reverse contingencies in certain defense cases; and various hybrid forms of representation.

The unique situation of each client and the matters they bring to the firm guide the structure of the relationship, but Castillo Snyder always looks for a structure that fits the client’s needs and results in a “win-win” relationship between the firm and its clients.

Castillo Snyder also boasts a vast network of legal and business contacts in Mexico and the firm routinely represents companies and individuals from the United States and Mexico in cross border commercial matters and disputes, including cross border business transactions and litigation in both the United States and Mexico. Castillo Snyder has established strategic relationships with top flight Mexican law firms in Mexico City, Monterrey and Guadalajara, and works with Mexican lawyers on a variety of legal matters on a regular basis. Castillo Snyder is well versed in Mexican law and is accustomed to litigating lawsuits in United States courts under Mexican law.
